Stitched from eco fabrics like Bamboo, Organic Cotton and Soy, the line is meant to keep women comfortable, stylish and looking great! Zen Essentials clothing is the creation of Toronto born designer Lindsey McTavish-Mint. Lindsey studied Fiber Arts for three years at the Kootenay School of the Arts in Nelson B.C. and followed that with two years at the International Academy of Design in Toronto, where she received her diploma in Fashion Design.
Lindsey says "My goal as a designer is to create clothing with uncomplicated lines, fantastic fabrics, and an affordable price point that both look and feel amazing. The collections are generally organized as groupings of interchangeable separates. Thus, most of the pieces are coordinated in style and colour, creating endless outfit possibilities per season."
Selected as one of 6 semi-finalists in this year's Toronto fashion incubator's NEW LABELS competition, she had the opportunity to show her Fall/Winter 2010 collection to top fashion industry insiders such as Elle Canada's editor-in-chief Rita Sylvan and Toronto Star style columnist Derrick Chetty.
All of the clothes are currently made in their studio in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada.
A Green Wardrobe is proud to be the first U.S. retailer of this hip and fantastic eco-chic brand!
